2. CLERK: $150.00 for Election Day/ $10/hr for Advance Voting ( 3 weeks with 2 Saturdays)

   1. Must be able to lift 20 lbs. and assist with any duties assigned or required by the manager.

   2. Must have successfully attended and completed the training class conducted by the Walton County Board of Elections and Registration before each election.

   3. Must assist with setting up polling place the day before the election.

4. ASSISTANT MANAGER $200.00 per Election

   1. Must be willing to serve as Manager, if requested by the Elections Office.

   2. Must have your own transportation to pick up election supplies and/or equipment and bringing same to check-in center and be able to lift 20 lbs.

   3. Must accompany Poll Manager on election night to return election results at check-in center.

   4. Must have successfully completed the training class conducted by the Walton County Board of Elections and Registration before each election.

   5. Must assist with setting up polling place the day before the election.

6. CHIEF MANAGER $325 per Election

   1. Must have your own transportation to pick up election supplies and return election results/supplies to check-in center and be able to lift 25 lbs.

   2. Responsible for enforcing all rules, regulations, and procedures of the precinct.

   3. Must have successfully completed the training class conducted by the Walton County Board of Elections and Registration before each election.

   4. Must set up polling place the day before the election.

21. Must possess the qualifications as set out in O.C.G.A. 21-2-92: Poll Officers shall be judicious, intelligent, and upright citizens of the United States, residents of the County in which they are appointed, 16 years of age or over, and shall be able to read, write, and speak the English language. No Poll Officer shall be eligible for any nomination for public office or to be voted for at a primary or elections at which the poll officer shall serve.  No person who is otherwise holding public office, other than a political party office, shall be eligible to be appointed as or to serve as a poll officer. A parent, spouse, child, brother, sister, father-in-law, mother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, or sister-in-law of a candidate shall not be eligible to serve as a poll officer in any precinct in which such candidate’s name appears on the ballot in any primary or election. 

    NOTE:   O.C.G.A. 21-2-8 states that no person convicted of a felony shall serve as a poll officer unless their civil rights have been restored.

    Advance Voting is 3 weeks prior to Election Day with 2 Saturdays.  The hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. on the 2 Saturdays.  Workers are required to arrive at least 30 min prior to opening, maybe earlier on the first day.  (Manager will advise.)
